It is not that people are ignorant about daily habits but are just too lazy to practice them each day, as most don’t want to get out of their comfort zone and prefer to let things happen by themselves. The first step is to go to sleep early at night, around 10 o’clock, after a good day’s work. The early risers are the most successful, so getting up early gives you an early lead. There are very few distractions, so focus on creating tasks that matter the most, whether it is breakfast, exercise, reading, or simply moments of solitude.
Getting up half an hour early infuses a confidence within you where you feel things are completely in your control and far less rushed. To make this a habit, put your alarm 10 to 15 minutes earlier each week until you get an ideal time to wake up.
The first thing to do after getting out of bed is to have a warm glass of water with a chopped garlic clove to hydrate your body, which becomes dehydrated after hours of slumber. The warm water gives your metabolism a much-needed boost and cleans up the system.
Apart from metabolism, hydration helps in proper digestion, boosts your energy levels, and provides a glowing look to your skin.
Now this one is easy to follow. It doesn’t necessarily mean spending 4 to 5 hours in the gym, lifting heavyweights, doing rigorous cardio, and so on, but a simple half-hour walk, yoga, 10-minute meditation, and home workout will make you feel a lot more cheerful and positive.
Take a few minutes to set clear intentions on the tasks for the day and how you plan to complete them. It might be something as banal as promising yourself to stay calm in stressful situations or something as important as completing an office project.
Having clear intentions helps in prioritizing your energy, which allows you to plan your actions accordingly, which in turn aligns you to your bigger goals and achieving them in the shortest possible time. Write down your tasks for the day or say them out loud to make them sound concrete.
A cluttered workspace leads to a cluttered mind, due to which you’re unable to plan things out in a systematic way. Take 10 minutes from your busy schedule every day to clean out a portion of your room and reduce your stress level.
Cleaning your closet, changing your bedsheet and pillow cover, arranging papers in a neat pile, organizing your desk—every little endeavor counts. Start practicing them each day, and you’ll start feeling lighter in the head and be able to focus more on the tasks at hand in an organized and neat environment.
Our daily lifestyle has become a race where we constantly rush through meals without paying the slightest attention to what we’re eating. Health experts opine that food should be savored properly for its nutrients to have a positive effect on our body.
Therefore, practice mindful eating where you pay attention to the smell, texture, and flavors of the different ingredients added to the mixture, as it not only helps in enjoying your food immensely but sometimes it arouses interest in gaining culinary skills.
Reading helps you develop a razor-sharp memory, so make it a practice to read as much as possible every day. It could be the newspaper, a storybook, a though-provoking article, a self-improvement manual, or simply a list of instructions.
Take around 15 to 20 minutes to half an hour each day to read something that inspires you to do well or enhances your knowledge on different subjects that you were previously ignorant about. You’ll notice a major improvement in focus, creativity, innovation, and knowledge over a period of time.

While social media has proven to be a major positive change in digitizing everything and greatly reducing paperwork, it has also proven to be a huge distraction for many people as they’re not able to fully concentrate on the tasks at hand.
What with the constant notifications from WhatsApp, X, Instagram, and other applications, it becomes very difficult to resist the temptation to scroll through the different pages and like, share, and comment on things that take to your fancy.
Unplug yourself completely from all electronic devices for around an hour to prevent your mind from becoming overwhelmed. Instead, focus on your hobbies, relax in your bed without any nagging thoughts, write diary entries, go out for a walk, to set your mind at rest.
